Dear Dream

I wake up at a lighthouse
where Ocean meets sound.

At the point of navigation
I lose sight of them.

She realizes she understands the lighthouse in reverse.
The lighthouse exists so that the sailor knows how to return
home. The beacon of light is not meant as a search tool.

My gaze is attached to stones.
I should dissolve more.

I could’ve been more loving, less anxious.
There are things I could’ve said better.

She was last seen in a relationship with the horizon,
                        with nostalgia, with a cloud.
She shoved herself forward with persistence.

I wake up diagonal on the water
in a photograph. My legs seem littler

bobbing on the surface of sequins.
Underwater is buried water.
